It gives me great pleasure to finally be able to unveil the big surprise I’ve been teasing you about all these weeks. That’s right, PGEW has gotten a complete makeover, and it is AWESOME.
With the help of some very savvy friends, ye olde blog has finally undergone the makeover I’d always envisioned but was never able to do myself. Over the years I’ve heard the suggestions and requests of others and mentally jotted them down for that special “someday” when I could put them into action. Well, someday is finally here, and I couldn’t be happier! I’m pretty sure you will be, too.
The first thing big change you’ll notice is that the page itself loads much, much faster than it used to. For all of you who have patiently put up with the slow loading process, this is going to be a huge treat. (Heck, I love that it loads so much faster! Hard to find stuff when you’re drumming your fingers, waiting for things to appear…)
The other huge new feature is something I’ve been wanting to do for ages: organizing the recipes in more of an index form, so that it’s easier to look for your favorites. New readers will find it easy to explore all the options, and regulars are probably going to start finding some hidden gems you had no idea existed because they were so buried in the archives. The new search function at the top will also make finding your favorite recipes and tips that much easier.
There are a lot of other great features on the site, but my flight’s about to board (it’s IFBC day!), so I’d better pack away ye olde laptop. I just wanted to personally welcome you to the brand new site and invite you to stay awhile and check out the new digs. It’s just the beginning of some very, very great things to come here on PGEW, and I am ecstatic that I’m finally able to share it with you.
Please be patient as we get everything tested and in order. It’s been quite a move from the original blog format to this new one. You may find some of your favorite recipes are missing for now, it’s only temporary, we’ll be getting them all reposted in the next couple of days.
So, sit back, take a look around, and as I always say, ENJOY!
