Before I share my next recipe with you fine folks, I just wanted to give you a quick update on the PGEW Book Kickstarter Campaign. The response so far has been truly overwhelming, and I’m happy to report that with your help, I am 60% closer to my goal of writing this book. And in just under a month! I am beyond grateful for all your support thus far, and truly look forward to bringing this comprehensive guide to eating well on a minuscule budget.
The downside, unfortunately, is that there are barely 13 days left to cover (and hopefully surpass) the remaining 40% – and with Kickstarter, if a campaign doesn’t reach full funding by the deadline, the project is essentially cancelled. Which would mean no PGEW book, unless another Mega Millions craze happens or I randomly get offered a book deal.
That would be no bueno.
To ensure that this does not happen and that a PGEW book actually happens, I need all the help you fine readers can give! Not just in pledges, but by spreading the word. Whether it’s on Facebook, Twitter, your own blog, via email, smoke signal, or carrier pigeon, the more people you tell about this project, the better the chances of turning this dream into a reality! Of course, surpassing the goal is the ideal situation – more resources = more pictures, more recipes, and a much better book!
If you’ve already pledged to be a backer, THANK YOU. No, really, THANK YOU!!! Five, ten, twenty-five dollars at a time, you’ve helped pledge more than half of the amount needed to at least get a basic book going, and I am beyond grateful for your help. If you’d like to help further, you can remind people of this campaign by sharing this link with your friends & families.
If you haven’t had the chance to pledge yet, there is still time and every little bit helps! If all you can afford is $5, that’s perfectly okay! It all adds up and helps push us closer to the goal. But if you simply cannot afford to be a backer and still want to help, all you have to do is spread the word.
Thanks again for all your kind words of support & encouragement during these past 27 days! Now, let’s see if we can make a push to get this thing fully funded so all our dreams of a PGEW book can come true!
